In Shan fairy tale, Kinnari and Kinnara are mythological birds with human heads and bodies. Spectacular costumes with a huge wings intricately embellished with tiny sequins and hand embroidered patterns. Performed on auspicious occasions in the Shan States in the Northern and Eastern part of Myanmar. Tall slim handcrafted Shan drums suitably accompany this dance.
