Pakhan Ko Gyi Kyaw Dance
The people of Bagan were devoted to Buddhism and various deities. Ko Gyi Kyaw was the most infamous of deities. Despite being knighted and given the countship of Pakhan by the king, he indulged himself in drinking, gambling, womanizing and cock fighting, which led him to become a mischievous deity, after his death. As his favorite color is red, the female attendants wear red as they wait upon his arrival. It is believed Ko Gyi Kyaw possesses a medium whilst wearing a red shawl. A lively and amusing dance to enjoy.
